Christmas at St Paul’s

We would love to meet you, we hope you are able to join us over the Christmas season!

Our Christmas Services

CHRISTMAS EVE – TUESDAY 24TH DECEMBER

4pm Kids service, followed by our Family Fair

7pm Contemporary service

9pm Contemporary service

CHRISTMAS DAY – WEDNESDAY 25TH DECEMBER

7:30am Traditional service

9:30am Family service

What should we expect at the different services?

Our 4pm Kids service on Christmas Eve, is perfect for younger kids and their families. This service will include lots of carols, dancing, and a nativity story. Kids are encouraged to dress in their favourite Christmas outfits, or as a character from the nativity story. For those kids who are comfortable, we will invite everyone down to sit on the floor to be right up close to all the fun!

Our 7pm and 9pm services on Christmas Eve are contemporary in style, led by our live worship band.

Our 7:30am Christmas Day service is a traditional Prayer Book service, with lovely traditional music led by our choir. We will also enjoy communion together at this service.

Our 9:30am service on Christmas Day is a family service, with kids joining us in church as we all celebrate together.

What’s happening at the Family Fun Fair?

Straight after the 4pm service on Christmas Eve we will head out to our Family Fair.

We will have a sausage sizzle and drinks available for dinner, gold coin donations appreciated.

All of our other activities are free – snow cones, fairy floss, face painting, petting zoo, jumping castle and photobooth.

How do I get there and where do I park?

St Paul’s is located at 421 Old Northern Rd in Castle Hill, in-between Oakhill College and the Anglicare Retirement Village. We have plenty of parking available including several wheelchair friendly spots. When you drive in the driveway our friendly parking team will greet you and assist you to find a spot.

If you are traveling by public transport please visit https://transportnsw.info/ to look up the bus/metro timetables from your area.

What time should I arrive?

Our Christmas services are always well attended, so we would recommend trying to arrive at least 20 mins prior to the start time of the service. Getting in early means you can find a parking spot and seat and get settled in plenty of time.

What should I wear?

Something you already own and that you feel comfortable in! There is no formal dress code at St Paul’s, no need to feel like you have to dress up – but of course you can put on your Sunday best if that is what you are happiest in! Most of our congregation wear smart casual attire, think what you would wear to a weekend BBQ with friends.

What is the best way to get in touch if I still have questions?

You can email us anytime info@stpauls.church or give us a call Mon-Thur 9am-4pm on 8858 1111.

A great way to stay in touch with us is to visit our Facebook page or follow us on Instagram where you can watch videos of what we have been up to each week, check out upcoming events, and get to know who we are as a church.

We hope you feel welcome with us this Christmas.

When you visit a church for the first time it can be intimidating – we hope that this is not your experience of St Paul’s and that you feel welcome and at home as you join us at one of our services.

On arriving at St Paul’s, after finding a parking spot with the help of our friendly parking team, you will walk up to our main entrance and be greeted by our welcoming team (they will be wearing a lanyard so you know who they are). They will say hi, and help you to find a seat inside our auditorium.  If you have any questions at all, about the service or facilities (like “where is the bathroom?!”) our team will be more than happy to show you around. Don’t be shy to ask if you are not sure about something!

Our service will go for just over 1hr. Our Service Leader (a bit like an MC!) will welcome you, and let you know what to expect at each part of the service.

Our worship band will lead us in singing together, mostly well-known Christmas carols (the words will be projected on the screen for you).

We will then have a time of prayer. One of our members will read the Bible passage, this Christmas our reading is from the Gospel of Luke. A minister from St Paul’s will then share a Christmas message from the passage that has been read out. We’ll sing some more carols together to close out the service.

After the service our Pastoral team would love to chat to you if you have any questions or if you simply want to find out more. Head up the back to our Welcome Desk and you will find our team wearing lanyards.
