OUR FACILITATORS:

Sam and Sanaa Labib have been married for 41 years. They have three beautiful (most of the time) adult children. They work together as General Practitioners. For 40+ years they have studied together, worked together, travelled together and played together (and haven’t killed each other yet!).

In the past few years they have become passionate about enriching the marriages of others. Trained through Better Marriages Australia and now serving as committee members, they would love to share their journey with you.

OUR COURSES:

We will be running two Marriage Enrichment days in June. On Saturday 1st June will be a day for couples who have never attended one of our enrichment days. Saturday 29th June will be opportunity to dig a little bit deeper, and is aimed at those who have previously attended one our courses.

THE DETAILS:

Our Marriage Enrichment days are free to attend. No need to bring anything, just a willingness to learn. Lunch and snacks are provided, please let us know any dietary requirements when you register.

The course will be from 9:30am to 3:30pm, facilitated by Sam and Sanaa Labib. We will be meeting in the church office, which is located at 419 Old Northern Rd Castle Hill. Attendees should drive into the main church driveway, then head all the way around the back and park in the staff gravel parking area. You will see a white foot-path which leads straight up to the office.

WHO IS THIS DAY FOR?

Our basic course is for married and couples and those who are engaged to be married. Whether you are in your first year of married life, or decades in to your relationship, there is something for everyone to learn and take away from this day.

Our “Going Deeper” day is for those who have attended a day led by Sam and Sanaa in the past.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Saturday 1st June – the Basics

• Connecting together and creating shared meaning.
• Building great things in our marriage through love, commitment, trust and skill.
• Connecting through conflict.

Saturday 29th June – Going Deeper

• Family of Origin
  Our family of origin usually makes lasting impressions that ripple through our adult life and through our marriage. If we ignore the ways in which our families of origin has shaped our lives, we can miss a crucial opportunity for personal growth.
• Attachment styles
  We will visit the Attachment Theory and will discuss the individual’s sense of security in significant relationships with others and most importantly within the marriage. How marriage can grow people as a couple and as individuals and will discuss the concept of Differentiation.
