ABOUT US
Our normal service times:
10:00am every Sunday at St James’ Chapel
On the 2nd Sunday of the month our service is a Holy Communion service.
On the 4th Sunday of the month we have a 2:00pm service held at Barton Hall.
Welcome to St James’ Chapel. We are an Anglican congregation of St Paul’s Castle Hill in the Anglicare Retirement Village that exists to provide spiritual support, comfort, joy and hope to mature aged people.
We are delighted to have many mainline faiths represented in our Sunday gatherings as we meet to encourage one another, hear from God’s word, sing his praises, and serve one another. Our services are marked by attending to the needs of our people. Good liturgical services, mostly well known and loved hymns and preaching that isn’t too long and that has a particular focus on meeting the needs of mature aged folk. One person commented, “I love coming to St James’ because old people are valued here!”’
Our Chapel was opened in 2018 and has been designed with the needs of an aging congregation in mind. Excellent sound, comfortable chairs, modern amenities, a sound loop and air conditioning. You’ll find parking underneath the chapel (off Hilliard Dr) or underneath the bowling green.
We’d love you to join us and look forward to meeting you.
